The SCMS Project is a USAID funded global technical assistance project implemented by PFSCM whose objective is to improve the availability of priority public health products in public and private services in USAID supported countries. The Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) contract for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), part of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, aims to strengthen secure, reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable supply chains capable of meeting the care and treatment needs of people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. In coordination with in-country and international partners, SCMS will assist programs to enhance their supply-chain capacity; ensure that accurate supply-chain information is collected, shared, and used; and provide quality, affordable, health care products to those who need them. Position: Warehousing Advisor
Location: Democratic Republic of Congo The Warehousing Advisor provides technical advice for the design and implementation of innovative strategies and programs to strengthen the pharmaceutical warehousing system and commodity security strategies in DRC. The Warehousing Advisor provides guidance to strengthen the national programs and the warehouses that are part of the national system for the procurement of essential medicines (SNAME). The Warehousing Advisor works closely with the SCMS Country Director, Health Strengthening Advisor and a US-based technical team to identify opportunities to use new and existing tools, to design and coordinate technical activities and to ensure that SCMS initiatives are based on and informed by both US government and country-level needs and priorities.
