 Functional Responsibilities

The Democratic Republic of Congo Operational Hub (CDOH) was established in 2013 and currently has active projects in both the eastern and western parts of the country. The oce initially focused on the rehabilitation and construction of physical infrastructure such as roads and public buildings. However   more recently, projects associated with capacity building have become a central part of the portfolio. A major strength of CDOH is considering sustainability in projects by focusing on the use of renewable energies in project design and building capacity on proper maintenance approaches for an increased longevity of infrastructure.
UNOPS CDOH covers 11 central African countries. UNOPS CDOH based in Kinshasa, DRC has been identied as an agency in the United Nations system which can support the area of infrastructure, and humanitarian and post conict management both horizontally and vertically. The oce has developed a strong working relationship with international partners, UN agencies including UN missions and Government of Central Africa over the years. It provides technical support and capacity building in strategic development areas including infrastructure rehabilitation and development across health ,education ,public works, governance /public administration sectors; procurement ,project management and sectorial advisory services; peace and security, environmental preservation and protection among others.
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Partnership Development Advisor, the Project Support Assistant will have to:

Participate in meetings with current and potential partners for transactional projects and take minutes of project meetings; Assist in the preparation of proposals for transactional projects, including budget and contract; Follow up with the internal clearance process, including engagement reviews and project budget approval; Assist in preparing project reports, briengs and presentation materials; Contribute to the day-to-day project correspondence, information sharing and ling, ensuring that appropriate follow-up actions are taken; Be responsible for all project documentation in line with the conguration strategy and available project management tools; Maintain records of project les and other supporting documents; Compile relevant information for handover notes from Partnership Developpment Unit to Pragramme Management Oce team and other departments; Assist in the scanning, copying of documents and maintain a proper ling system and document archives;
Perform other duties to support Partnerships Development Oce team as required

 Education
A Secondary Education required University Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies or equivalent is desirable but not a requirement

 Experience
5 years of responsible administrative experience required for the candidate with a secondary education; 1 years of responsible administrative experience required for the candidate with a University Degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Development Studies or equivalent. Excellent oral and written communication skills is preferable Experience in the usage of computers and oce software packages (MS Word, Excel) is required.

 Languages
Knowledge in French is required Knowledge in  English is an asset
