Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Chief Air Region/Chief of Unit, the Air Terminal is responsible for the following duties:
• Coordinate all ground activities at airfields and helicopters landing sites.
• Responsible for provision of ramp services at airfields/helipads.
• Through the Fire Marshal, ensure provisions of fire fighting and rescue services at heliports/airfields.
• Coordinate with the host country’s airports authorities and CAA on issues and matters concerning operations of airfields.
• Monitor the physical state of landing sites, helipads, assigned buildings, hangars and other relevant assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Aviation Officer.

• Technology Awareness – Computer literacy; ability to manage the development and adoption of new applications for air operations.
Qualifications:
• Education: Education: High School Diploma with technical operational and aspect of aircraft ground operations, associated with ground activities at air terminal/airfield is required. Graduation from equivalent military establishment and military airfield operations would be beneficial.
• Experience: At least of 4 years of relevant experience in Air Operations is required.
• Language: English and French are the working languages of the Unites Nations.
• Other Skills: Knowledge of UN staff Rules, Regulations, and policies are desirable.
The external candidate must pass the United Nations clerical test in order to be qualified for an interview.
