Responsibilities:

The National Professional Officer will report directly to the Conduct and Discipline Training Officer and will assist him/her with the following tasks:

1. The development and implementation of the conduct and discipline training strategy.
2. The design and delivery of training modules and public information programs aimed at informing the host population on the UN standards of conduct and established complaints mechanisms, considering all the relevant cultural and national issues.
3. The implementation of community outreach programs.
4. The coordination and administration of conduct and discipline training events which may include liaising with training focal points, preparing training materials, facilitating training, contributing to the production of evaluations, and reports.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Advance University Degree (Master Degree or Post-Graduate Diploma) in social science (preferably sociology, cultural anthropology, development studies, humanitarian assistance). A relevant combination of academic qualifications and extensive experience in training and development may be considered in lieu of advanced university degree.
Work Experience: Five years of experience in a similar role involving cross-cultural training, capacity building, and community development either with local grassroots development organization or an international organization. Knowledge of the UN system and it mandate is highly desirable. Field working experience will be considered an asset.
Languages: Fluency in oral and written French and English is essential.
