Since 2004, MAG has been working in DRC on a range of clearance activities, aimed at decreasing the risks posed by the remnants of conflict. You will work in close collaboration with the FARDC and be responsible for managing international Technical Field Managers assigned to these specific projects.
The successful candidate will need to be qualified to EOD level 3 standards and have previous experience of liaison with military, police and national authorities. In addition, you will require knowledge of weapons securisation activities and construction methodologies, particularly in relation to armoury refurbishment and prefabricated containers. You will also need a good knowledge of weapon handling drills.
Fluent French language skills and good English language skills are required.
This is initially a fixed term contract until 31 December 2012, with a possible extension subject to funding.
