Le ministre des Hydrocarbures, Célestin Mbuyu, en visite officielle à Bunia lundi 23 janvier, a annoncé que le géant pétrolier français Total vient de recevoir l’autorisation de lancer les travaux d’exploration pétrolière dans le Lac Albert, un mois après avoir obtenu le droit d’exploiter l’or noir dans le Graben Albertine, en Ituri.
Le ministre Mbuyu a évoqué la puissance financière et technique de Total qui va exploiter le brut du bloc 3.
